Founded in 1977 as Walnut Ridge Water Company, Hampstead Area Water was established in 1989. In 2002 Walnut Ridge water was merged into Hampstead Area Water Company, Inc. Hampstead Area Water Company, Inc. has continued to grow becoming the third largest privately owned water system in New Hampshire. For the last 30 years Hampstead Area Water Company, Inc. has established water systems in 10 communities throughout southern new Hampshire.
