09/03/10:  Outside Watering Ban Update

Hampstead Area Water Co., Inc. thanks all customers for complying with the Temporary Watering Ban.  As of today, September 3, 2010 the Temporary Watering Ban has been reduced to the standard Odd/Even Watering Policy.

  

Odd/Even Watering Policy Reminder:

If your home or business address ends in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6 or 8) you may water only on even numbered calendar dates. If your home or business address ends in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) you may water only on odd numbered calendar dates.  In addition to the odd/even schedule the Watering Policy prohibits watering between the hours of 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.

 

Although we are restricting irrigation and lawn sprinkler usage to every other day, hand-held hoses and watering cans will be permitted for use in your vegetable and flower gardens on any day.

07/03/10:  Outside Watering Ban

Due to the extreme drought conditions,  Hampstead Area Water Company, Inc. has been forced to place a temporary watering ban on all outdoor watering until further notice. 

Irrigation systems and lawn watering must be discontinued immediately.  Hand held hoses and watering cans are permitted for vegetable and flower gardens ONLY.

Please be advised the watering ban will be strictly enforced.  Violation may result in disconnection of water service and disconnect fees.

All water conservation in addition to the ban is appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

SMITH MOUNTAIN WATER TANK

In September of 2006, Hampstead Area Water Company, Inc. completed the construction of a 0.5 Million Gallon water storage tank in Hampstead, NH. The tank was built in association with Natgun Corp, and is Owned and operated by Hampstead Area Water Company. The tank is tied into the water system, and will help provide better fire protection and water pressure for the Hampstead water system.  As part of the Smith Mountain Tank project, Hampstead Area Water Company, Inc. has installed a water main along a portion of Kent Farm Road.

 
ATKINSON "CORE" SYSTEM WIDE CAPACITY ASSESSMENT IS UNDERWAY

Atkinson will be the first of two system wide capacity assessments. These assessments will be performed by Emery & Garrett Groundwater, Inc. The purpose of these studies are to provide additional water sources for the future and help better maintain the current sources. Hampstead will undergo a similar study following the Atkinson's assessment completion.
